Terms of use

These terms apply to everyone who reads Carpet Care Guide. Continuing past this page means you accept them.

What we do and what we do not do

We test and write about carpet, rug and upholstery cleaners in Dubai. We are a publisher. We do not clean carpets, collect rugs, take bookings, hold payments or employ technicians. No provider on this site works for us and none of them is under our control.

Reviews are opinion

Scores and rankings represent our editorial view based on defined tests carried out on our own textiles at our own expense. They describe results obtained on specific pieces on specific dates. Your carpet, your stains and the crew that arrives may differ. Nothing published here guarantees the outcome of a job you commission.

Care advice

Guidance on fibres, methods and home care is general in nature. Antique, silk and hand-knotted pieces vary enormously and some are too fragile or too valuable for any generic advice to be safe. For a piece of real value, consult a textile conservator before applying anything to it, including remedies suggested on this site.

Prices

Prices shown are what we paid, including VAT, at the time of testing. They are published for orientation, not as an offer. Rates vary by fibre, size, condition and collection distance, so always request a written quote.

Affiliate disclosure

Certain links on this site earn us commission when a reader books. This is stated on the pages where such links appear. It does not affect scores, ranking order or the criticisms we publish.

Dealings with cleaners

Your contract is with the cleaner, not with us. Their collection terms, liability cover, turnaround promises and complaints process govern the relationship. If a piece is damaged, lost or returned in poor condition, the claim lies against them.

Limitation of liability

To the greatest extent the law allows, we exclude all liability for loss or damage arising from use of this site or reliance on its content, including damage to carpets, rugs, upholstery or any other property, and any financial or consequential loss. Content is provided without warranties of any kind.

Ownership of content

Our text, photographs, test methodology and comparison tables are protected by copyright. You may quote briefly with attribution and a link. You may not reproduce the site, scrape it or republish its tables elsewhere. Company names and marks belong to their owners.

Fair use of the site

Automated harvesting, attempts to breach security and any unlawful use are prohibited, and access may be blocked where they occur.

Third-party links

Outbound links are a convenience. We do not vet, control or take responsibility for the sites at the other end.

Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and disputes are subject to the courts of Dubai.

We may amend these terms. The date shown at the top of the page reflects the version currently in force.
